Atlanta, GA (April 15, 2009) -Allegheny Energy extends its Budget, Project, Asset and Tax PowerPlant suite by adding the Tax Provision system. It is integrated with the rest of PowerPlant and SAP through the Charge Repository module.
Allegheny Energy has both regulated and non-regulated operations. It has over 9,500 megawatts of capacity and has regulated utilities West Penn Power (PA), Monongahela Power (West Virginia) and Potomac Edison (Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia).
Allegheny Energy uses PowerPlant for Capital Budgeting, Projects, Assets, and Tax Depreciation and associated Deferred Taxes. The Tax Provision w ill execute in the closing cycle linked to SAP through the Charge Repository.
